  US PATENT OFFICE RECOGNIZES THE FITZSIEVE The Fitzpatrick Company's innovative FitzSieve has recently been recognized by the US Patent Office for its unique features. The newly designed FitzSieve is a state-of-the-art low-energy size reduction unit with a wide range of applications in the Pharmaceutical Industry. The FitzSieve provides process flexibility ideal for de-agglomeration, classifying, calibrating and gentle size reduction. The under drive has the advantage of being easier to feed, clean, and configure. 
To improve the process performance, a unique system has been provided to adjust the rotor to screen clearance. The operator screws the rotor into position until no clearance exists between the rotor and the screen. The required rotor-to-screen clearance is then obtained by turning the rotor in the opposite direction by a number of slots that are clearly visible on the top of the shaft and rotor. Each slot represents a fixed rotor-to-screen distance. If a specific clearance is required, the operator needs to unscrew the rotor by a specific number of slots.
